Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

As Bakioğlu Holding and Packaging Group Companies, we continue our 50-year journey in the flexible packaging industry maintaining our enthusiasm from the first day, with the aim of "always aiming for better". We believe that "sustainability" is one of the most important elements of this journey to create value for our stakeholders. Our Group embodies this value, follows future developments most closely, and determines corporate social responsibility steps as well as business strategies, while focusing on "Environment and Education" projects as in a priority for our country and our world. 

As an industrialist Group, we believe that the value we create in our country's economy is not enough on its own, and we recognize the importance of being a part of projects and pioneering steps that empower society and protect the environment. As Bakioğlu Holding and Group Companies, we prioritize being a stakeholder in projects focusing on environment and education so that we can take part in the fight against environmental problems that will be addressed around the world in the next 10 years. To fulfill our responsibilities in protecting our environment and combating climate change, we plan our activities by focusing on the following areas:

• Production policies with environment focus
• Renewable energy production and/or utilization by purchase
• Investments to obtain basic materials used in production through recovery or recycling
• Partnership with organizations and initiatives that create awareness about the circular economy and can establish cross-sector networks
• R&D activities for the development of 100% renewable packaging structures
• As Bakioğlu Holding and Group Companies, partnership in projects aimed at protecting existing forest areas and creating new ones through the Aegean Forest Foundation, of which we are always the primary supporter.

Secondly, we are planning our corporate social responsibility activities in the field of "education" because we recognize that the way for the studies, which are handled with a focus on environmental protection, to be truly responsive and permanent is through education. Accordingly, our education-oriented activities include the following topics:

• Training programs organized under the structure of Bak Academy, primarily for the training and development processes of our own employees
• Bachelor's and master's degree scholarships for the children of our employees who meet certain criteria
• Scholarships granted to students with no equal opportunities who attend to top universities and faculties that will make a difference and contribute to the development of our country
• Regularly meeting the needs of Cem Bakioğlu Anatolian High School, which was donated to the Turkish Ministry of National Education in 1995, to maintain a top-level education and various projects carried out together with the school. 

As Bakioğlu Group, we fulfill our responsibilities in the fields of environment and education, which we believe are of primary importance for both our country and the world and will benefit our future while improving every day and aiming to contribute to social and environmental sustainability. In line with this policy, we continue to work determinedly to give a better world to future generations.
