Founded in 1995 as Baktrans to transport export-focused Bakioğlu Holding companies’ products, Baknet expanded its sphere of services to include VIP aviation, and was later merged in December 2016 with Baknet İletişim ve Bilgisayar Ürünleri Pazarlama Sanayi AŞ, founded in 2000 with the awareness that communication is the key to keeping up with changing technology. Today, under the name Baknet, the company operates both IT and VIP aviation operations.
